One Idea. A New Way to Read Time.

The story of Armando Legin Inveniō began in 2019 with a simple yet unconventional idea: to display the time using a single hand, eliminating everything unnecessary. Inspired by this vision, Armando Legin created the first sketches and set out to develop an entirely new way of reading time. The concept evolved into an independent watchmaking project that combines innovative design, technical ingenuity, and traditional Swiss craftsmanship.

To bring the idea to life, Armando Legin assembled a team of specialists. Independent Swiss watchmaker Marc Jenni contributed his expertise in the development and engineering of complex mechanical timepieces, carrying out the project's technical feasibility study. Together with designers Fabrice Gonet and Olivier Leu, the original concept was gradually transformed into a technically sophisticated and truly distinctive mechanical watch.

At the heart of Inveniō lies its patented Transversal Indicator system. Both the hours and minutes are displayed using a single hand, while a transparent sapphire disc indicating the hours moves independently of the hand itself. The interaction of different gear ratios creates an unusual yet remarkably intuitive way of reading the time. This innovative display mechanism was developed as a dedicated module and integrated with a high-quality Swiss movement.

Powering the watch is a Vaucher base calibre, enhanced by the specially developed display module. The complete construction consists of 225 components, operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and offers a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. Despite its technical sophistication, the complexity remains largely hidden. From the outside, Inveniō appears clean and minimalist, while its exceptional mechanics reveal themselves only upon closer inspection. Its manufacture combines modern engineering with traditional Swiss watchmaking craftsmanship.

Armando Legin Inveniō is the result of a collaboration between independent specialists who transformed a visionary idea into a unique mechanical timepiece. The combination of innovative design, a patented time display, and Swiss watchmaking makes Inveniō a remarkable creation within independent horology. As both watchmaker and engineer, Marc Jenni played a key role in the technical development of the project and continues to assemble and inspect each watch in Switzerland. The Genesis Series, limited to 25 pieces, further emphasises the exclusive and independent character of this exceptional timepiece.
