The history of the Swiss watch brand Ollech & Wajs began in Zurich in 1956. At that time, young entrepreneur Albert Wajs and his friend Joseph Ollech decided to open a boutique for high-quality luxury watches. In the early years, they focused on distributing renowned brands such as Breitling and Omega. Through this work, they gained valuable experience in the world of fine watchmaking, which ultimately laid the foundation for something of their own: the launch of the OWZ Ollech & Wajs Zurich brand.

 

From the outset, the focus has been on developing robust, functional, and precise timepieces that prove themselves in real-world use. This philosophy continues to shape the brand to this day. The watches are not purely design objects, but reliable instruments for people who value authenticity, quality, and technical substance. Ollech & Wajs combines traditional watchmaking craftsmanship with modern manufacturing methods and contemporary technology.

 

Today, the designs for the watches are created at the headquarters of Ollech & Wajs Precision AG on Bergstrasse in Zurich. This is where the models are conceived, developed, and crafted with great attention to detail. Each individual timepiece is then assembled and fine-tuned in Haute-Sorne in the Swiss Jura. There, the watches are individually assembled and regulated according to the highest standards of precision and quality to ensure optimum accuracy and long-term reliability.
