Founded in 1904, the Swiss watch brand Oris has grown over more than a century into one of the leading names in independent Swiss watchmaking. Since the management buyout in 1982, the company has been owned by members of its board of directors and executive management. This independence continues to define the brand today, reflecting its commitment to continuity, independent decision-making, and long-term thinking.

In 1985, Oris made a defining decision by dedicating itself exclusively to the development and production of mechanical watches. For Oris, mechanical watchmaking is not a nostalgic concept but a true expression of precision, engineering excellence, and authentic craftsmanship.
